Welcome to IIBT

The International Institute of  Business Technologies was founded to serve as an impartial, trusted agent and honest broker for advancing proven and promising business technologies that could improve the management, performance and value of public and private sector enterprises.

IIBT achieves this mission by assisting public and private sector decision makers,  managers and their consigliere who are responsible and accountable for the results and outcomes of their business technology selections, deployments, operations and ultimate life cycle modernization and transformation management.

IIBT's Business Technologies Paradigm

excerpted from a presentation by Marshall Sokol, President, IIBT, to the
Government Technology Managers Conference, August 3, 1997, Lancaster, Pennsylvania

Optimum/best fit business technologies
generate best possible business results and
outcomes for their intended purposes and objectives

People and organizations can only
succeed with optimal/best fit business technologies.

An optimal/best fit business technology generates
the best possible performance values because it is the
best available solution enabler, given that its business case
scenario was for a specific, metrically defined environment and prioritized
objectives that denoted specifically expected performance results and outcomes.

No business technology is a universal optimal/best fit to all business case scenarios.

IIBT's New Horizons Initiative

IIBT's New Horizons initiative is based on a combined management education and decision assistance and support services model that provides robust sets of ever changing, business, economic, political, social and cultural factors and criteria in order to more adequately and accurately define organizational and managerial contexts, criteria and business case scenarios for:

  • Selecting Best Fit business technologies; and for
  • More optimally using them to improve performance in achieving organizational and managerial objectives and goals.

If successful, enterprises will be able to more adequately and accurately ascertain Real Total Performance and Value (Real Total Mission Cost and Benefits) of selecting, deploying, tracking, and evaluating a business technology, and either rewarding or remediating its performance.
